The trip is being carried out by our Foreman Graham Warren & Senior Porter Jordan Isbill designated to deliver some of our Customers effects to a property in Malta. Such was the volume we had to hire in an Artic to ensure all the items the client had requested would fit in! Having loaded the first 5 days was spent travelling through France, Italy arriving in Salerno for the Ferry to Valetta in Malta. Day six our intrepid travellers arrived in Malta who were met by the agents MDOM who escorted them to their premises.
Day seven is the required rest period for the guys then on day 8 Graham & Jordan arrive at the customers home to commence the unloading. Assisted by the team from MDOM and an outside elevator the guys proceeded to carefully unload. Such is the method required to unload this takes 2 days then on day 10 its unpacking!
Day 11 and it’s time to head on home; 1200 ferry from Valetta arriving in Salerno 11 hours later. Days 12 & 13 are rest days in Italy (I can think of worse places!) before commencing the long drive back to Blighty through Italy (via Mont Blanc Tunnel) then France to Calais where the intrepid duo embark for the last leg to Watton from Dover.
Having successfully completed the 16-day trip here are a few kind & complimentary words from our customer;
"Graham and Jordan have been absolutely fantastic and you can be very proud of them as representatives of Hadley & Ottaway. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, although I'm sure we tested their patience more than once! They also got on well with the D
OM team and Graham 'led from the front', as all good leaders do, with Jordan conscientious, hard-working and setting an equally high standard. They were both a joy to have here and I just hope they're not too exhausted and their journey home is uneventful".
