Hadley and Ottaway are delighted to announce they will be sponsoring Heather Plasted and her horse Sam Valley.
They had their first outing of the year on Good Friday at Kings Forest near Bury St Edmunds. The event was a 40 Klm Endurance Race and was Sam Valley's first outing as being registered for the ‘open classes’.
Last year Sam was a Novice. The ‘Class’ is determined by the condition of the horse, speed taken (they have to be ridden at between 10 and 18km per hour) and heartbeat rate of the horse at the beginning and end of the ride. Prior to setting off the rider has to present their horse to the Vets enclosure for them to grade; 1 to 4 with 1 being the highest and then again at the end.
Heather & Sam completed the Endurance in 3 hours earning them a Grade 2 which is an excellent result on their first outing’.
Congratulations to them both.
