With November 11th 2012 fast approaching, we here at Hadley and Ottaway are once again showing our support for this year’s Poppy Appeal by introducing giant poppies to all our removal vans. With our close connections to the nearby RAF Watton Airfield, it is at this time of the year that we strive to play our part in supporting the Royal British Legion as they endeavour to support the families of those who have lost their lives in conflicts both past and present.
The Royal British Legion continue to produce thousands upon thousands of poppies every year, with the funds from their sale going to those who have suffered or are continuing to suffer as a result of fighting on behalf of our country. For such a great cause, we thought we needed to do more to show our support and as a result, are again brandishing our fleet of removal vans with the giant red poppies.
Despite the tough economic climate at present, we hope to encourage as many people as possible to spare some change for a great cause and wear a poppy with pride in the lead up to Remembrance Day to remember those who have fallen and those who continue to fight for our country.
Whilst the work of the RBL is noticed considerably more at this time of the year, it is important to remember that they work all year round, providing support and contributing towards the set up of specialist rehabilitation centres for those servicemen and women who have been injured in wars and conflicts throughout the years.
We encourage all of our customers to show your support for the Royal British Legion at this time of the year by donating and wearing a poppy, just like every member of our staff and even our vehicles will be doing!
